Dear Friends,

We are delighted to tell you that The Berakah Players, with the help of Grants for the Arts, The National Lottery and Arts Council of England, will be touring England in the summer of 2015. We’ll be marking the 10th year of the band and kicking off the tour with a special concert in London where we’ll present new music specially written for the event featuring a string section and The Berakah Multi Faith Choir.

But that’s not all.

The London date will also present the debut performance of a brand new ensemble of young musicians making music together and showing how the power of music brings people together. We’ll let you know more about this very exciting and important development very soon.

The tour itself will then be going to Luton, Rotherham, Leeds, Brighton and Oxford where we have worked closely with local community organisations on planning events that will bring all the members of their communities closer together in a show of mutual support and solidarity in the face of significant and rising tensions here and abroad.

We are so grateful for the support and goodwill of our friends over the last few years and now it’s time for us to step up a gear. Over the next few weeks we’ll be telling you a lot more about the concerts, the choir,the new music and our youth project and we’ll be asking you to support our work by sharing posts, re Tweeting info and generally being ‘ambassadors’ for our work so please join our FB group, follow us on Twitter and let everyone know that we can all make a difference if we work together.

We’ll be releasing a small number of early bird tickets for our London concert very soon. The date for the concert is June 4th at St James Church in Piccadilly, in the heart of the London’s Glittering West End and early bird tickets will go on sale at 9pm on Monday March 2nd. We’ll publish more details on the day and we’ll also let you know about the tour dates very soon.

This is the culmination of almost a years work and in that time many things have happened to raise the tension level. It is our firm belief that the arts and culture can build bridges that politics and words simply cannot and we are honoured and humbled to be playing a part in seeding positive change, through music, for everyone.
